Liebe Gott für uns den Stürye nach Harburg und den Nagel nach Hamburg gesetzt hat? Mit Dank gegen Gott und mit Freude konnten wir nach Hause zurückkehren. Gott sei allen ein Vergelterl Zu Hause hatten wir aber nun noch viel zu thun- denn am 20. Oktober sollten unsere Missionare und Kolonisten ab- geordnet werden und am folgenden Tage sollten sie an Bord gehen; was war da noch alles zu beschickenl Leset hier nun erst noch die Namen der lieben acht Kolonisten. Sie heißen Schröder, Gathmann, Herbst, Beneke, Stolte- FUVUU Schütte, Beger. Landwirthschast Verstehen sie alle, aber nur drei find eigentliche Landleute, die andern sind ein Schneider, zwei Schmiede, ein Maurer und Schlächteki ein Farben Auch der 20. Oktober kam heran. Tags zuvor hatten wir Buß- und Bettag gefeiert, da schon hatte die Kirche nicht Raum für alle, sondern viele mußten Vor den Thüren und Fenstern stehen. Noch größer wurde die Volksmenge am Abordnungstage, so daß fast nicht durchzukommen war. Wir hatten zu diesem Tage schöne Geschenke bekommen: zwei vollständige Abendmahlsgercithe, ein Taufbecken, eine Kanzel- und Altarbekleidung nach den Farben der Stistshütte: blau, weiß, roth, eine Kanzelbibel, eine Lüneburgische Agende und Kirchenordnung ic. Viele benachbarte liebe Pastoren waren zugegen, auch unser lieber Superintendent, und da saßen nun vor dem Altar die sechszehn Brüder, immer abwechselnd ein Missionar und-ein Kolonist. Der Gottesdienst wurde angefangen mit Liturgie und knieendem Gebet. Dann folgte die Abschiedsrede meines lieben Bruders über 1. Tim. 4- 16: habe Acht auf dich selbst und aus die Lehre, beharre in die- sen Stiicken. Denn wo du solches thust, wirst du dich selbst selig machen und die dich hören. Daraus habe ich die lieben Brüder abgeordnet, ihnen die Geräthe, die Bekleidung, die Bibel, die Kirchenordnung und Agende übergeben und sie haben mir mit Handschlag gelobt, als lutherische Prediger.

Love God for us to set the story after Harburg and the nail after Hamburg. With thanks to God and with joy, we were able to return home. God be with all who have been a witness at home, we now have much to do – because on October 20th, our missionaries and colonists will be arranged, and the following day they will depart on board; what else was scheduled? Read here first the names of the lovely eight colonists. They are Schröder, Gathmann, Herbst, Beneke, Stolte-FUVUU Schütte, Beger. Understand by the people, but only three find the true landowners, while the rest are a tailor, a blacksmith, a mason, and a Schädelke – a colors. The 20th of October was approaching. Previously, we celebrated a Sabbath and a bed day, as the church didn’t have room for all, but many had to stand before the doors and windows. The Volksmassen grew even larger on the day of appointment, so that it was difficult to pass through. We received beautiful gifts on this day: two complete evening meals, a baptismal basin, a chalice and a canopy – in the colors of the Stistshütte: blue, white, red, a Lüneburgian Agende and church ordinance, ic. Many neighboring loving pastors were present, and our dear Superintendent was seated before the altar, with the sixteen brothers alternating a missionary and-a colonist. The religious service began with liturgy and kneeling prayer. Then followed my dear brother’s farewell speech, about 1.4: “Be careful of yourself and keep the teaching, hold fast to this path.” Because you do such things, you will be blessed and the others will listen to you. From this, I have assigned the men, the attire, the Bible, the church ordinance and Agende to them, and they have praised me with a handshake as a Lutheran preacher.
