—21.— Du aber, HErr unser Gott, gieb uns einen Segen mit ’auf diesen unsern Weg! Du sprichst: fürchte dich nicht, glaube nur! HErr, es ist genug, Dein Name sei hoch- gelobet in Ewigkeit Amen. - Das vorige Mal habe ich versprochen, ich wollte noch mit Gottes Hülfe etwas über das Schiff und dessen Aus- riistnng nachholen, über das verwendete Geld und über an- dere Dinge, die uns zum Preise des HErrn auffordern sollten. Das will ich nun thun und mit fröhlichem Herzen, denn das allerlieblichste und allerschönste Geschäft ist den HErrn loben. Thun wir das von Herzen, so treiben Wir hier schon auf Erden das himmlische Geschäft der Seligen und wir dürfen es, wir gehören ja zu ihnen, denn wir sind selig, wie- wohl in der Hoffnung Und die Schrift selbst fordert uns dazu auf, denn: der Könige Geheimnisse soll man verschwei- gen, aber des HErrn Wunder soll man rühmen! Und der HErr thut Wunder, noch heut zu Tage thut er Wunder. Und wißt ihr, welche Menschen mir als die allerncirrisch- sten auf Erden und zugleich als die al lercirmsten auf Erden vorkommen? Es sind die, welche meinen, der HErr thue keine Wunder. Denn das ist ganz dasselbe, als ob sie sagten: der HErr ist todt und wir haben Jhn zu Grabe getragen. Sie sind die allernärrischsten, denn sie glauben an einen todten Gott, und die allercirmsten, denn ein todter Gott kann nicht helfen. O, wie ganz anders spricht unser Gott! Er sagt: Ich bin bei euch alle Tage bis an der Welt Ende; Er spricht: Mir ist gegeben alle Gewalt im Himmel und auf Erden; Er spricht: Alles was ihr bittet in Meinem Namen, das will Ich euch thun! « Nun höret etwas von der Geschichte unseres Schiffs Und wenn ihr nicht Gottes Finger darin erkennt, so müßt ihr blind sein.
